The material of choice depends on your aesthetic requirements and the area where the prosthetic replacement will be placed.
Metal - ceramic crown the basis is a metal alloy on which layers of ceramics are placed - they imitate a natural tooth.
Full zirconia - the crown/bridge is entirely made of zirconium dioxide (monolithic), which has excellent strength and resistance, but also aesthetics because its color imitates a natural tooth.
Zircon ceramics - the base is made of extremely hard zirconium dioxide, a ceramic material, in the color of the teeth. A ceramic layer is placed on top of it to achieve excellent aesthetics.
Crowns and bridges takes several days and consists of different stages:
- consultation and a therapy plan
- grinding teeth for a crown or bridge
- taking an impression for a dental technician
- trial of metal/zirconium base (if we are doing full zirconia, we skip this stage)
- trying on the final work
- cementation
- corrections and polishing
