Children in the dental office

Children are our greatest treasure, and their teeth are the most sensitive part of them. How to protect them and when to perform the first examination? Since going to the dentist is an unpleasant experience for most of the population, it is understandable that children are not left out.
The first examination can be a traumatic experience for them, but it doesn't have to be that way. What the child needs is ADAPTATION to dentist's work so that he can handle the possible procedure without any problems. In order to avoid fear of the dentist, we strive for the first visit to be without any procedure, i.e. for the child to get to know the staff, space and instruments. The first procedure should be non-invasive, that is, completely pleasant and painless.
It is most often carried out by lightly brushing the child's teeth with a toothbrush and prophylactic paste. That way, dentist gains the trust of the child, the child has a positive experience and is more ready for a more invasive procedure (filling or extraction of a baby tooth).
A frequent question of parents is when the child should visit the dentist for the first time. The answer is: with the eruption of the first tooth. It is important to visit the dentist regularly from a young age in order to monitor the growth and development of teeth and prevent their premature loss. Premature loss of baby teeth can lead to orthodontic anomalies and abnormalities in jaw growth.
Finding the right dentist for your child's teeth is a big responsibility.
